LIEGE, Belgium — The Liège Bulldogs continued their red-hot start to the 2025-26 CEHL season Friday night, powering past the Snackpoint Eaters Limburg 7–4.

Logan Denoble opened the scoring just 3:16 into the first period, with assists from Olaf-Jan Schöningh and Loris Darques. It was Denoble’s league-leading ninth goal of the season, further highlighting his impact in his first year with Liège. The Ontario native has seamlessly transitioned into the Bulldogs’ offense, bringing the same goal-scoring touch that made him a standout with the Herford Ice Dragons in Germany, where he tallied 59 goals over three seasons.

In an interview last week with Bulldogs TV, Denoble spoke about the team’s strong start to the season.

“We’re playing with a lot of confidence right now. We’re playing really well together — all four lines as a team. We’re doing the little things right, and I think there are still a few things we can clean up and improve on, but overall things seem to be going really well for us right now.”

Anthony Gagnon doubled the lead at 14:07, finishing a clean rush to make it 2–0. Limburg managed to respond, but Liège continued to press, with goals from Yoren De Smet, Gagnon (his second of the night), and Corne Van Stuijvenberg before Luke Stegmann added insurance with a power-play marker in the third. Gagnon later sealed the win with an empty-net goal at 58:58.

Goaltender Troy Passingham made timely saves to preserve momentum, improving his record as the Bulldogs moved atop the CEHL Cup standings with 20 points through eight games.

Veterans like Bryan Kolodziejczyk and Olaf-Jan Schöningh continue to provide stability and leadership, while imports like Denoble bring a fresh scoring edge. Together, they’ve given Liège the perfect blend of experience and creativity.

The Bulldogs now lead the CEHL with a 7-1-0 record, outscoring opponents 39–19. Denoble leads the club with 17 points (9G, 8A), while Kolodziejczyk and Schöningh are not far behind. The team continues to show signs that it’s more than capable of confidently defending its Belgian national title.

Up next, the Bulldogs face the Chiefs Leuven in what promises to be another high-tempo matchup between two of the league’s top-scoring teams.
