Few players enter the PWHL with expectations as high as KK Harvey. After a record-breaking career at Wisconsin and years of success on the international stage, the No. 1 overall pick arrives as more than the draft's top prospect, she has the potential to become one of the league's next franchise stars.
Now, she'll have the opportunity to prove it at the professional level.
A Record-Breaking Career
Harvey leaves Wisconsin as the program's all-time leading scoring defenseman.
In her junior season, she rewrote the record book with 63 points (18 goals, 45 assists) in 41 games, the most ever by a Badgers defenseman in a single season. She finished her collegiate career with 137 points, another school record.
What made Harvey's production even more impressive was its consistency. She opened the season on a 14-game point streak, recorded 16 multi-point games, and delivered in the biggest moments. She totaled four points in the NCAA Frozen Four semifinal against Minnesota before scoring in the national championship game against Ohio State.
The offensive numbers stand out, but they tell only part of the story. Harvey also led Wisconsin with a +75 rating, blocked 50 shots, and scored six power-play goals, underscoring her ability to impact every situation.

As a freshman, she scored the overtime winner against Minnesota to send Wisconsin to the national championship game. Three years later, she recorded four points in the Frozen Four semifinal before finding the back of the net in the NCAA title game.
Her experience extends far beyond college hockey. Harvey represented Team USA at the 2022 Winter Olympics, helping the Americans capture a silver medal, and has earned multiple medals at both the IIHF Women's World Championship and the Under-18 Women's World Championship.
For a player entering the PWHL, there are few stages she hasn't already experienced.

Perhaps most importantly, she's only 22 years old.
Defensemen often take years to reach their full potential, yet Harvey already leaves college as Wisconsin's most productive defenseman ever and one of the most accomplished young players in the sport.
