DEN HAAG, Netherlands — Snackpoint Eaters Limburg dominated on the road, cruising to an 8‑1 victory over UltimAir Hijs Hokij Friday night at De Uithof. The second-place club in the CEHL standings delivered a complete performance, outshooting and outworking the third-place Hokij squad from the opening puck drop, seizing control early and never letting up.

Limburg (49 points, tied for first in the round-robin standings with EHC Die Bären Neuwied) struck quickly, scoring two goals in the first period, three in the second, and three more in the third. Tuukka Rajamaki opened the scoring at 2:31 of the first period, finishing a crisp passing play to give the visitors an early edge. Despite Hijs Hokij’s efforts to respond, Limburg dominated puck possession and dictated the pace throughout the game.

The Eaters’ offense was both balanced and opportunistic. Yevgen Fadyeyev tallied a goal with multiple assists, consistently creating scoring chances and setting the tone in transition. His line, including Finn Van Der Wiel and Arne Van Espen, capitalized on loose pucks and showcased Limburg’s efficient neutral-zone play.

Mike Collard made a significant impact on special teams, netting a short-handed goal in the second period before converting a power-play opportunity later in the frame. Jesse Noblesse added two goals, both assisted by Fadyeyev, highlighting Limburg’s precise zone entries and dominant cycling in the offensive zone. The Eaters’ chemistry on both the power play and penalty kill kept Hijs Hokij off balance and limited their ability to generate sustained offensive pressure.

For UltimAir Hijs Hokij, Cody Monds provided the lone bright spot with a late second-period goal, showing why he is among the CEHL’s top offensive talents. He created several other scoring chances despite facing relentless pressure from Limburg’s defense corps. The Hokij attack, though ranked among the league’s more creative units, was held in check for long stretches, struggling to sustain possession against a disciplined and physical visitor lineup.

Defensively, Limburg’s back end was impeccable, limiting quality scoring chances and protecting their goaltender with strong positioning and timely interventions. Their penalty kill repeatedly stifled Hokij’s attempts to capitalize on power-play opportunities, further cementing the Eaters’ dominance.

With the win, Snackpoint Eaters Limburg remain tied atop the CEHL standings with EHC Die Bären Neuwied at 49 points, maintaining momentum as the season heads into the final stretch. UltimAir Hijs Hokij, meanwhile, will need to regroup quickly to stay competitive in the playoff hunt as the upper third of the standings tightens.

Limburg’s decisive road victory not only reinforced their status as one of the league’s top clubs but also sent a clear message to the rest of the CEHL: their balanced offense, opportunistic special teams, and stifling defense make them a formidable contender for the championship.
