There’s a noticeable cohesion in Tampa Bay’s game right now. From their top scorers to their depth players, everything feels connected. Tampa Bay’s Tuesday night 6–2 victory wasn’t just another win in the standings. It was a display of cohesion across all facets of the game.
The Lightning came out with urgency, establishing a 2–0 lead in the first period before extending it to 3–0 early in the second. Even when Seattle narrowed the gap to one, Tampa Bay responded like seasoned contenders: calm, composed, and clinical. Three unanswered goals in the third period put the game out of reach and underscored their ability to finish.

What stands out most about this Lightning group is how connected they look on the ice. Every line is contributing, and the puck movement reflects a team that understands where each player will be before the play develops.
"I thought those guys created their chances,” Lightning head coach Jon Cooper said. “And they earned their pucks back, and then they're good players, so they’ve got some good chemistry together, but they made some plays that are just gorgeous goals.”
That chemistry was evident throughout the lineup. Nikita Kucherov led the charge with a dominant five-point performance, recording a hat trick along with two assists. But the story didn’t end there. Brandon Hagel added four points, while Anthony Cirelli contributed three, highlighting the kind of depth that defines dangerous playoff teams.
“I think everyone was on the same page, we played fast, we didn’t take our time to move the puck or second-guess ourselves,” Hagel said. “When you’re connected like that, it’s easy.”

Behind the offense, Andrei Vasilevskiy provided a steady presence, turning aside 16 shots. While not his busiest night, his composure helped maintain control whenever Seattle attempted to shift momentum.
